Originally from Red Deer, Alberta, I grew up in Texas where I had the fortune of attending graduate school at Southern Methodist University. I opened my first counseling practice in Dallas in 2016. In 2023 I relocated with my husband to Kelowna, British Columbia in order to have more access to the outdoors and a more moderate climate. When I'm not with clients, I enjoy hiking, kayaking, snowboarding, and painting.
I love being able to help people accomplish their goals and live an authentic life. It’s really about empowerment! The process of change can be challenging, but my clients and I laugh a lot too. My style is warm, non-judgmental, and supportive. I’m grateful for the opportunity to help others find hope.
My counselling experience ranges from daily stressors to crisis situations and deep-rooted trauma. Wherever you may fall on that spectrum, I will treat you with unmatched respect. Additionally, I have formal training in a variety of techniques, including EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing), ACT (Acceptance & Commitment Therapy), and Trauma-Focused CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy). Let’s tailor an approach that suits you.
